The capital of Britain for 20th consecutive year took the top position in the ranking of Europe's best cities for doing business. Five hundred executives from Europe's leading companies participated in the poll.

There were three criteria for determining the best cities: market access, skilled personnel and availability of labor resources. London dominated significantly as per the three indicators over its rivals in the ranking.

Earlier this year in its own rating, the World Bank put the British capital in top position in terms of presenting business opportunities and in fifth place in the world. The closest competitor of London is the capital of France Paris.

London is the main headquarters for many of the largest companies in the world, owning a business far beyond the borders of the United Kingdom.

There are situated the European centrals of Canon, Coca-Cola and many others. With the weakening of the effects of the global recession, London is once again reinforcing its position as a leading business center, the authors of the study commented.
