The mother of murdered teenager Scarlett Keeling broke down in tears on Thursday as her daughter's body started its final journey home.
Fiona MacKeown had to identify the 15-year-old for a fourth time ahead of her return to Britain next week.

| Missing nine-year-old Shannon Matthews has been found alive 24 days after she disappeared. Police smashed their way into a flat about a mile from her home in Dewsbury to find the youngster concealed in the base of a divan bed. West Yorkshire police said a 39-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of abduction at the address in Lidgate Gardens, Batley Carr. Relatives were elated at the news. Shannon's aunt Amanda Hyett said: "We've all heard the news. It is great news." A West Yorkshire Police statement said: "As part of ongoing investigations, detectives and specialist search officers attended a house at Lidgate Gardens, Batley Carr, Dewsbury. |

| A three-year-old British girl is in a critical but stable condition after drinking orange juice mixed with Nitric acid cleaning fluid. A barman at the Curium Hotel, where the toddler was staying with her family, accidentally mixed the fluid in her orange juice. The cleaning fluid had been put into a water bottle in the hotel's kitchen according to reports on state radio. Staff at the Cyprus Makarios Hospital children's ward said the three-year-old girl was connected to a respirator. Radio reports said the toddler suffered severe burns to her mouth, throat and upper respiratory organs. The identities of the child and her father were not released. |

| As many as 21 new destinations are available from low-cost airline Easyjet thanks to the company's takeover of GB Airways. The airline will take over 32 of GB airways routes, however, 11 of these are already served by Easyjet. The takeover brings Easyjet's routes from Gatwick airport to 66, and adds a further eight routes to the airline's Manchester operation. Among the winter sun destinations Easyjet will be flying to from London Gatwick are Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain, the Greek islands, Malta, Cyprus and Dalaman in Turkey. "It is intended GB Airways will continue to operate all routes under the British Airways brand until 29 March," Easyjet said in a statement. |
