Sugababes' saw their four week reign at the top of the charts come to an end as About You Now slipped to number four. McFly's new single, The Heart Never Lies was third. Mark Ronson's Valerie featuring Amy Winehouse was at number five, while Timbaland's Apologize featuring One Republic fell one place to number seven. Britney Spears's Gimme More slipped to six, while Oasis's Lord Don't Slow Me Down was at number 10. The Backstreet Boys saw their new entry, Inconsolable, enter the chart at number 24. Meanwhile, in the album chart, The Hoosiers went straight in at number one with their Trick to Life album, ahead of Van Morrison's Greatest Hits album, Still on Top, at number two. The Hoosiers knocked Stereophonics off the top spot, whose Pull The Pin album, slipped to six. Version by Mark Ronson was at number three in the album chart, followed by Sugababes' Change album at four and Amy Winehouse's Back To Black album at number five. New entries in the UK album chart included Neil Young at number 14 with his Chrome Dreams 2 album, Santana, in at 16 with his Ultimate Santana album and Michael Ball's Back To Bacharach album at number 20. Orson's Culture Vultures album entered the chart at number 25.
