Turkey`s biggest mobile operator Turkcell now making move to Germany because many Turkish people lives in Germany and Turkcell wants to target 3.5m Turks in Germany with this move. It has formed a new subsidiary, Turkcell Europe, that will use Deutsche Telekom’s infrastructure to target all the Turks mainly. Turkcell is first Turkish company to win A Gartner CRM Excellence.

Turkcell will start in April 2011, before looking to deepen its market penetration. 75% of Germany’s Turkish population is under 45. Turkcell says it also plans to launch operations in other European markets through its Turkcell Europe subsidiary.

We have become one of the leading communication and technology companies in our region and in the world,” says Turkcell CEO, Sureyya Ciliv. “We are happy that we can now meet (the) communications and technology needs of our citizens and people in Germany, who have close ties with Turkey, through our high quality products and services.

Turkcell has targeted its own subscribers in Turkey with mobile messaging and advertising from third party brands for many years. It has around 10m subscribers opted in to receive advertising on their mobile phones and its very popular mobile network in Turkey for many years also same time has shops in nearly in every city, town with many partners.

The company is looking to expand further internationally, but the spokesman dismissed as speculation media reports that Turkcell is set to buy network licenses in Iraq and Syria. Turkcell already has subsidiaries in a number of former Soviet states, including Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Friday’s agreement with Deutsche Telekom marked the company’s first move into Western Europe to date.

Turkey’s leading mobile communication provider announced that it has become the first Turkish company to win a Gartner CRM Excellence Award. Founded in 1979 and one of the most important research and consultancy firms in the world, Gartner holds the “EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) CRM Excellence Awards” every year in order to highlight CRM (Customer Relationship Management) applications that are up to world standards and to share the accomplishments with broader audiences.

A first-time contender in the competition that’s being held for the sixth time this year, Turkcell became one of the three finalist companies last month with its “Journey to/with the Customer” program. And on 7 March, Turkcell won the title of the only Turkish company to be given this award.

Turkcell Marketing Insights & Reporting Division Head Meltem Sahin, who is also reponsible for the CRM Programs, said, “We’re greatly happy to win the Gartner CRM Excellence Award.
