The Apple TV in the UK is also now shipping. Yesterday we reported that those in the US had started receiving emails about the Apple device shipping. Now the same information is being sent to customers in the UK who pre-ordered it. As for arrival dates, the UK model shipped to Geeky Gadgets has a delivery date of October 4 which is this coming Monday. Apple is still listing the device as “Ships: September”, which means that the technology giant is still able to deliver the device on in promised time-span. Sources said that company also confirmed that devices are on their way and should be in the hands of the UK customers by 30th of September.
The company had announced the device earlier this month, with a promise that it would be shipped within 30 days. However, one of the UK customers said that they received confirmation from Apple stating, “We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 08/10/2010.” Apple TV costs US$ 99.
The company has been advertising the device as the simplest way to watch favorite high-definition movies and TV programmes on high-definition TV.
