Michael Owen says he has enough faith in his scoring talent to regain a place in the England squad and make it to next year's World Cup as national UK news reported but missing point is Owen dont want to accept that he cant play like before and puts Englands match to the risk.
The 29-year-old Manchester United striker was not considered for the squad to play Ukraine and Belarus in qualifying games because of his latest injury. However with scoring a goal to Mancester City with last minute luck makes him think that he can to this forever.
He limped off the field with a recurring groin problem after only 20 minutes of last week's Champions League game against Wolfsburg, which was watched by England coach Fabio Capello.
Owen, who has started only once under Capello, said Thursday: "I've always been optimistic. I will always score goals and I have got the record to show that. I need to play well and score goals for Manchester United. If I do that then I could get picked." We do think Mancester United will get rid off Michael Owen and might be his last year of football carrier in Uk.
World Cup games are very important for England and needs good player, however if Owen plays he might need to prove hisself or will be end of Saturdays dream. But all team knows that this game cannot be risked with Owen.
