Burley happy with display Scotland boss George Burley insisted the 2-0 friendly loss to Japan had been worthwhile after six players got their first caps in the Yokohama clash. The Scots looked on course to seal a draw before two goals in the last seven minutes consigned them to defeat.

Burley said: "It was a good workout. Japan had the luck today but I think as a team we defended well. I think it was a good exercise for both countries."
