Didim Today

A small film production company based in Izmir is currently preparing to take it’s TV drama called SANRI in to the Didim and Altinkum area, it is believed to be start on Saturday according to many media reports in Turkey. It is based on short love story which will be filmed in and around Altinkum and Didim areas. Local residents might get selected to show their talents within this small story film on Saturday and according to the Film Company filming should be finish before the end of April, it will be available on Turkish national TV channels.

Shooting this film will be better for Didim`s culture and historical places. These have previously been seen in music videos but have not been filmed before for this length of time.

The film Construction Company have already start to recruit short films extras casting local residents in Didim, this is a great opportunity for temporary jobs in Altinkum Didim before the busy summer season begins as you might already know it’s from May till end of September and the resort gets very busy, which would be unsuitable to do film shooting around Altinkum especially.

Some small hotels will be going to host extra recruitment selection in Altinkum according to the Film Company. Film screenwriters and directors have already quoted by media reports that film casting will start on 26th July 2011 at Didim and Altinkum. He also added that film’s premier will be held in Altinkum Didim in April.

Film stars and theatre player’s Yıldırım Öcek, Ali Uyandıran, Bülent Aydoslu, Salime Ulaş, Çiğdem Batur, Sinan Korkmaz, Ulaş Koçer ve Sabri Baltalı will be starring in the short love drama and it is expected to completed before end of April 2011 and although this is a short film it will cause a lot of attention all over Turkey, as it is a love-oriented story with mystery and tension.

The director of the short love film also stated that “Didim is one of the most important tourism resorts that gets a lot of expression from many holiday makers and this film will show the true beauty of Didim and Altinkum and they will add scenes to movie as much as possible, along with stories and will try to increase tourism in the area little.”

But Didim Altinkum and Akbuk local community will already know that Ahmet Kaya has already made a music clip for his last album in Akbuk near Sapliada and partnered one of the biggest 5 star hotel in Turkey, Altinkum already gets alot of attention from pop star due to the beach music festival during the peak of summer, also Ibrahim Tatlises, Musdafa Sandal, Eurovision winner Sertap Erener and Haluk Levent are music connoisseurs in Altinkum along with many other national pop stars.

The love story film will be called SANRI and Didim Today will be providing short preview of film here shortly after we get more details on the movie this week and this will also help to increase the attention to Didim and Altinkum within and around Turkey, so therefore we can expect to see more local tourism this summer in Altinkum. Altinkum Didim and Akbuk need more music clips and movie castings to help boost their reputation.

There are many pretty scenes and natural forest in and around Akbuk Didim which should gain interest from other movie directors and we are excpecting an increase in other directors choosing to see Altinkum Didim and Akbuk for upcoming movies.
