Didim Today

Many homes and Hotels in Altinkum and Didim were damaged in the winter floods because systems failed which was spouse to stop flood in Altinkum Didim and flood systems was made in 2002-03 by Didim Council. Dolphin Suquare, Hotels Area was reported to be badly affected from heavy rain at last weekend.

Flooding was also reported on Meteor last week but however any security and masaruments wasnt taken. Parts of Didim and Altınkum and round areas were left under flood water.

Altinkum and Didim`s worst flood this and could happen again. Some of the town roads was closed with shops but mainly local houses was effected.

Little About Weather

The Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have cool, rainy winters and hot, moderately dry summers. Annual precipitation in those areas varies from 580 to 1,300 millimeters, depending on location.

The Black Sea coast receives the greatest amount of rainfall. The eastern part of that receives 2,200 millimeters annually and is the only region of Turkey that receives rainfall throughout the year.
