Nine people were killed and more than 90 injured when a Turkish Airlines plane crashed on Wednesday morning while attempting to land near Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. Turkey’s Transport Minister Binali Yildirim says 135 passengers and eight crew were aboard the Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Amsterdam and local police spokesman J Hage told the news agency that a Turkish Airlines 737-800 had crashed in a field next to a runway. The plane, Flight TK1951, left Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport at 8:22 am whic is 11.52am from Istanbul Airport.

Investigators are still working to establish the cause of the plane crash that claimed nine lives near Amsterdam's Schipol Airport on wednesday. Some more people are seriously injured following the crash-landing of a Turkish Airlines jet in a field near the airport in Amsterdam.

Most of the 135 passengers and crew on board the aircraft were able to walk away from the crash. The nine fatalities include the two pilots and one crew member who was in the cockpit at the time of the incident. The plane is believed to have dropped suddenly while coming in to land, ending up in a muddy field just 500 metres short of the runway.

However there was 51 Turkish, 1 German, 3 British, 60 people from hooland some others was on the plane, and investigators are examining the wreckage of a Turkish Airlines jet that crash landed in the Netherlands to try to determine the cause.
