Yossi Benayoun had a hat trick and Ryan Babel and Peter Crouch each had two goals as Liverpool defeated Besiktas, 8-0, on Tuesday in the most lopsided win in the history of the Champions League. Benayoun, who also had two assists, scored three straight goals as Liverpool, last year's runner-up, won its first match of this year's competition to stay in contention for a berth in the knockout round. Liverpool (1-2-1), which just lost to Besiktas 2-1 in its last Champions game, still has its work cut out for it in the last two games of the group stage. It will likely need wins over FC Porto and Marseille to advance. Liverpool has four points, four behind Group A leaders FC Porto and three back of second-place Marseille. FC Porto moved into first place in the group with a 2-1 victory over Marseille on Tuesday.

This is my favorite day of the week and I am in Antalya. This is a very popular destination for foreign investors, and you can see several developments that have been constructed for such people. Now a days there has been a slowdown in business due to tax inspections directed at developers. High fines have been imposed on several construction companies and real estate agents over tax evasion. Foreign investors are more likely to be buyers than sellers in Turkey, but I believe that some of them want to make a profit by selling their houses.

Ulster businessman at the centre of an alleged £4m overseas property scam last night told how he fears he may miss his son's wedding. Speaking to Sunday Life from Bodrum in Turkey, Kevin O'Kane claimed delays to the court case may prevent him from attending the ceremony. The businessman, along with wife Bernadette, has been living in the country since May, after it emerged 80 people from Northern Ireland discovered they did not own holiday homes in Turkey they believed they had bought through Mr O'Kane's property company. He has protested his innocence all along and is convinced he will return to Northern Ireland as a "free man".
