The preperation for the 12th Didim Peace Festival are finalised.
Mumin Kamaci is hoping that this year a laarge company will sponsor the event. There will also be an exhibition of local businesses showcasing their business and products. The festival will commence on the 31st August and continue until 3rd of September, during this time a number of national music stars will perform in concert for free these include Selim Sesler, Sertap Erener who won the Euro Vision for Turkey in 2003 and Onur Akin, Kirac. The concerts will take place at Didim and will be very popular with the locals.
The festival will also include an exhibition of the Temple of the Apollo and a craft fair on the 28th August at the Didim Cultural Hall. There will be a new event this year which is the watersports competition as well as the usual swimming and beach volleyball events for fun and a sand castle competition will take place at Altinkum Beach. The Didim Festival will be presented by Mustafa Alabora and Elessa who will be giving talks centering on peace in Greek and Turkish.
