Denizkoy is a real traditional Turkish Village, where family and frendship is lifes main priority. A real close knit community living with old family values. The people are very self sufficient making lots of their own produce such as milk, cheese, butter, yoghurt, vegetable and fruit. It isnt rare to see grabe vinesin every garden and apples on the trees.
Most household own a cow which will be milked daily and provides breakfast milk and chese, butter for the whole family. Its isnt unusual to see the odd smoke coming from a small building in the gardens, where the village womans and girls are baking the bread.
In Denizkoy children are free to play in the open air outside their houses as its avery safe place to be as there are no outsiders roaming the streets. This makes village lively with childrens voices allday. The small cafe is a hive ot activity in the evening as the local men venture there usually after the evening meal for a hot glass of strong villge tea and a very frendly conversation.
Animals are in every garden whether its a cow used for milking, or a hen to lay eggs, the people of Denizkoy think dearly of these as well each other. Weather is realy nice and cool in summer because of location of village is top of the hill and this makes realy nice cool evening in the summer times. Amazing views of sea and Akbuk is perfect from village.
Denizkoy is 700 mt to the beach and if you are looking beach with full local you must visit Uslu Sitesi Beach and you will love it. You dont need to rent umbrella or sunbed on the beach.
Very lively night at Sahte Cennet and Akbuk is one of popular places with the locals along with the cafe. There isnt many bars or english speking waiters but people are very frendly with tourists. Couple of live music bars makes nights romantic and relaxing.
From Denizkoy you can access to following resorts, Akbuk, Kazikli, Uslu Sitesi, Sahte Cennet, Bodrum, Soke, Bafa Lake, but mainly tourist buses use for Bodrum Airport transfers from Altinkum.
