Former glamour model Katie Price, who is also known as Jordan, has left the cast of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! after only being on the television show on ITV for one week. The programme is set in the Australian jungle and viewers had wanted Price to be subjected to "bushtucker" trials but the model said she simply did not “want to be here anymore.”

31-year-old Jordan had said on Sunday:"I don't need to be here, I've done my bit. I'm not in it to win it - it makes no odds to me career-wise if I win or lose." Price had originally been in I’m A Celebrity...five years ago and it was there that she met Peter Andre, whom she married but has recently separated from.

She felt that being on the show again would help bring "closure" to their relationship that has now ended. On Sunday, she was picked for another trial which involved being lowered into a venomous snake pit. She said: "Someone else has to do it.

I'm just not doing it anymore." ITV announced her departure in a one-line message posted on its website. It read: "Katie Price has left the jungle" Price, who also goes by the name Jordan, had begged viewers to stop nominating her for the tasks but to no avail.

Her stint on the show marks the second time that the 31-year-old model was placed in the Australian jungle for the show. She appeared five years earlier, meeting future husband Peter Andre. The model and pop singer divorced earlier this year, after which Price re-entered the show to bring "closure" to her failed relationship.
