In the country, where purchasing power of the people is decreasing each passing day, shop owners are applying huge discounts to revive the markets. The economic crisis, started in Greece and spreading in a domino effect to the other EU countries, hit the Christmas shopping.

London’s famous shopping malls and streets, which are famous for conflux of shoppers especially during the Christmas period, are deserted this year. In a rush to attract customers, the British shop owners found the way out by making huge discounts, announcing rates nearing 50% by lightened boards. “The slow-down in economy puts great pressure on us, which of course affects my shopping list.

I usually prefer discounted or special campaign products,” said a Londoner. “We spent less this year in comparison to the last year. I wish I was more optimistic for the next year, but it seems that hard times are waiting for us,” said another woman living in the British capital.

The London metropolitan municipality closed the streets around the shopping zone and will not collect parking fee for the Christmas shoppers. A lot of shoppers even dosent wants to go out around London due parking charges because almost no place for parking and London is getting worst every other year and loosing popularity fast however traffic parking wardens works all over the London just to remind shoppers to not to out or forget to display ticket and you might not believe cheapest is £2 GBP and in some towns this is just for 10 minutes. Would you stop for shop?

London is loosing popularity every other year and parking charges, late trains, expensive bus fares for you so keep out of London and enjoy Christmas for once with out worry and paying extra.
