I visited the city a litlle bit: the Bazar, the St. Sofia Mosque, and the Galata Tower. I had great food with my dear friend Onder Focan and his wife. Wherever I find people like Onder and his wife who love Jazz and I am happy."

One of our Didim Today`s question to Antonio Ciacca was about EU and he followed "I am looking forward to perform in the Istanbul Jazz Center because I heard a lot of great words about it from my calleagues here in New York City. I think is a good thing for Turkey to join the European Union. This will allow Turkish citizen to travel more easily and check out other life styles."

He followed "My parents migrated in Germany in the 60s and there they met a lot of Turkish friends that they remember with love. When I was at Nardis I heard some interesting Turkish Jazz musicians. This time I will pay more attention to them because of my role of Program Director at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Part of my job is to find young Jazz musicians to bring to New York."
