Tiger of Berlin which is originally Berlin Kaplani is one of the great movies in Turkey in 2012 which is this year and one of the must see because Recep Ivedik style is back with Berlin Kaplani and hugely popular Turkish funnyman Ata Demirer stars in a hilarious boxing comedy-romance. Roly-poly Ayhan Kaplan (Ata Demirer) is something of an unlikely boxing champ.

A Turkish citizen who works by day as a bodyguard in Berlin, his record of just 21 wins in 50 fights means he has little chance of attracting sponsorship.

Life is hard for Ayhan and his trainer Cemal (Tarik Unluoglu) – not least because the portly pugilist owes 50,000 euros and has just a week to find the cash! Enter danger-loving love interest Elvan (Nihal Yalcin) and Ayhan’s brother-in-law.

Will the miracle our hero so desperately needs finally materialise, or must he resort to underhand methods? A massive star in Turkey, stand-up comedian Ata Demirer has successfully graduated from TV to the movies over the last decade.
