If you are interesting Northern Lights you shoud keep your eyes on sky in UK because according to scientist you might be able to catch a glimpse of Northern Light and this is just something amazing and cant be missed if you are in UK because people from all over the World traveles miles and miles to see this amazing lights many years. You could get a rare glimpse of the Northern Lights tonight as a result of intense solar flares fired off from the sun earlier this week.

Scientists say a series of large flares that began Sunday will send a massive cloud of gas toward Earth that may allow the aurora borealis, commonly known as the Northern Lights, to be visible in the northern United States, including around UK.

Conditions have to be just right, and a near-full moon could make the luminous sheets of red and green less visible in the sky, according to Doug Biesecker, a solar physicist at the National Space Weather Prediction Center.

Signs of increased activity on the sun began when a strong solar flare on Monday was followed by a more powerful one early Tuesday morning. Scientists said the second flare was the most intense in four years.

They're a colourful light show which occur naturally in the sky and are normally seen further north. But at the moment the sun is sending out mega powerful rays called solar flares  which could send the Northern Lights south. That means that lucky people living in parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland could catch a glimpse on Friday night.

When these explosions reach our planet they light up the sky - and scientists expect these to be seen about the north of the UK. The Northern Lights appear in lots of different colours - they can be anything from red to green.
